Any paper maps can be converted into the digitized data-driven interactive geospatial application by following the five steps as given below : 1) Scan the map into TIF 2) Import into DIVA-GIS 3) Create shapefiles for Placemarks, Pipelines or Roads or River and Some Area like Ponds, lakes, stadiums, etc. 4) Create Attribute Tables linked to the shapefiles 5) Export the tables and the shapefiles into an AppConverter to produce interactive Geospatial Application The entire procedure or the steps of digitization of maps by DIVA-GIS is explained in the presentation that can be accessed by clicking in the link . or view the video about the same presentation.
