MAPOLOGY MOCK TEST PART 1 PUBLISHED

Readers of Mapology Blog can now participate in Mocktest on GIS and win rewards. The first Mock Test was launched today(7th July 2022). The mock test has twenty multiple-choice questions having two answers; one among them will be the correct answer. If any participants can score more than 90% then he/she can receive 5 job vacancies in which he/she can apply. Anybody scoring less than 90% but more than 40% can also win awards but as discounts on our self-spaced certificate course on GIS, Remote Sensing, and Image Processing. The time of the test is 15min.

Five steps to convert paper maps to digitized data driven interactive spatial application

Any paper maps can be converted into the digitized data-driven interactive geospatial application by following the five steps as given below : 1) Scan the map into TIF 2) Import into DIVA-GIS 3) Create shapefiles for Placemarks, Pipelines or Roads or River and Some Area like Ponds, lakes, stadiums, etc. 4) Create Attribute Tables linked to the shapefiles 5) Export the tables and the shapefiles into an AppConverter to produce interactive Geospatial Application The entire procedure or the steps of digitization of maps by DIVA-GIS is explained in the presentation that can be accessed by clicking in the link . or view the video about the same presentation.
